Where Are You Men Of Courage?
"But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." (Joshua 24:15 ESV)
"Courageous," the latest release from Sherwood Pictures, grossed nearly $35 million in ticket sales and has added nearly $15 million in DVD sales. The movie asks aloud what our families are only whispering: "Where are you men of courage?"
The COURAGEOUS movie and this Bible study sound the call for the:
• father who is always working and feels somewhat disconnected at home
• young guy whose relationship went too far too quickly and who became a dad too young
• divorced dad who becomes a full-time dad every other weekend and one month during the summer
• young man with a new wife waiting for the arrival of their first child
• mature father who looks back on his life with regrets and wants to now impact his grandkids
• dad who never knew his father and longs to discover how to lead his family well.
This is a call for believers to take a courageous stand for the sake of their children and their future.
This study is for you!
Where Is This Going?
For those participants who participate in all four meetings(or seek an elder to make up a session) and are resolved to take a courageous stand for the sake of their families and their future, there will be a "Resolution Ceremony" similar to the one depicted in the film. It will take place at a Sunday morning service of Christ Community Church and will be your opportunity to resolve to be a "Man of Courage" during the church service.
For questions about the resolution, the ceremony, or any other aspect of the men's ministry, please talk to one of the Elders.

Bible Study Schedule
March 16 & 17 --- Kickoff Event
April 21 --- Courageous Session #2
May 19 --- Courageous Session #3
June 9 --- Courageous Session #4
Each session will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast and continue no later than 11 a.m.
Next Steps
There is a companion book to both the film and this Bible study that will aid men in that endeavor. It is called, "The Resolution for Men." It is an "unapologetic call for men to live courageously for their faith and their families. It is strategically challenge you to become the man God created you to be."
While it would certainly be a helpful tool to read on your own, we envision groups of men coming together to read, discuss and learn from the book together.
